Non-Magnetic Alloy Pinpoint Gate Inserts for Precision Injection Molding

Our Non-Magnetic Alloy Pinpoint Gates are engineered specifically to overcome these challenges. Manufactured from advanced WC-Ni (Tungsten Carbide-Nickel) alloy systems, these precision gate inserts deliver the essential combination of absolute magnetic neutrality, exceptional wear resistance, and micron-level taper accuracy for the most demanding injection molding applications in the magnetic materials, medical device, and electronics industries.

WC-Ni based materials are widely used in injection molding of electronic components, magnetic materials, and medical devices. This exceptional hardness provides 3-5x longer gate life than tool steel, maintaining consistent gate geometry over millions of cycles and reducing maintenance downtime.

Superior Corrosion & Chemical Resistance

Nickel-bonded carbides offer significantly better corrosion resistance than cobalt-bonded grades. Non-magnetic carbide gates exhibit high corrosion resistance and excellent chemical and oxidation resistance. This makes them ideal for:

  • Molding corrosive or chemically aggressive materials

Reduced Friction & Improved Chip Flow

WC-Ni based cutting tools have demonstrated 3.2% to 7.9% lower friction coefficients compared to conventional WC-Co tools, leading to smoother cutting action, reduced heat generation, and extended tool life.
